Application Requirements

All applicants must apply through ERAS.

In general, our department requires:
  • USMLE STEP scores should be 190 or above.
  • Both components of USMLE Step II (CK and CS) must be passed on the first attempt.
  • All PGY1 residents must attempt Step III during the first year of residency..
  • Residents must pass Step III by the end of May during the PGY2 year of residency.
  • Must have a valid ECFMG certificate.
  • We accept J-1 and EAD Visas but a permanent residency permit is desirable.
  • All first positions must use the NRMP match process - It is an institutional policy not to take individuals outside the match.
  • For international medical graduates, passage of USMLE Step III is highly desirable.
